Description

Compatible Brother TZe 211 Laminated Tape 6mm uses Brother’s proprietary process: the printed PET base film is sandwiched under a clear, durable overlaminate that shields the print from water, chemicals, UV light, abrasion, heat and cold. Its standard acrylic adhesive is formulated for strong permanent bonding on clean, flat surfaces. Compatible Brother TZe 211 Laminated Tape 6mm is designed for harsh conditions (outdoor or indoor); Brother explicitly notes they “withstand extreme temperatures, chemicals, abrasion, sunlight and submersion in water,” remaining legible from about –80 °C up to +150 °.

What exactly is TZe-211 (size, color, length)?
TZe-211 is Brother’s laminated P-Touch tape in 6 mm (¼") width, with black print on white tape, and commonly sold as ~8 m (26.2 ft) per cassette — the everyday small-label size for name tags, cable flags, shelving, and more.
Will it work in my label maker — which printers accept TZe-211?
If your Brother label maker supports TZe/TZ tapes (most P-Touch models do), it will accept Brother TZe 211 laminated tape 6mm. TZe is the current eco-case version of TZ tapes and is backward-compatible with TZ machines that accept TZe cartridges. In short: if your P-Touch uses TZ/TZe cartridges, you’re safe.
Is this tape really “laminated” — is it water-resistant and durable?
Yes. TZe-211 is a laminated PET tape, built to resist water, fading and everyday abrasion — suitable for indoor and many outdoor uses (think: kitchen jars, toolboxes, and equipment panels). For extreme outdoor or chemical exposure, you’d pick a specialty industrial tape, but for general durable labeling, laminated TZe is the right choice.
What surfaces does it stick to and are there stronger adhesives?
The standard TZe-211 uses Brother's standard adhesive, which bonds well to paper, plastic, metal, and painted surfaces. If you need better grip on rough, textured or low-energy plastics, Brother also offers extra-strength variants (e.g., TZeS-series) made for those challenging surfaces.
Can I use cheaper third-party replacements — will they print the same and last as long?
