Description

Zebra Z-Perform 1000D labels (102 x 152 mm, 4 x 6 inches) are a low-cost direct thermal labelling stock that is widely used in shipping, warehousing, and indoor general labelling operations across the UK and EU. These uncoated and bright white paper labels have a permanent adhesive made of acrylic material, and they are die-cut and perforated on a 25-mm (1″) core. The direct-thermal facestock and adhesive used on the label are sold with excellent adhesion properties on a variety of surfaces but at a relatively limited range of long-term applications outdoors.

What are Z-Perform 1000D labels?
An uncoated paper label: Bright white, direct-thermal, general-purpose and economical labeling (shipping, packing lists, remittance stocks, mobile labels, etc.). It is applied with a permanent acrylic basis and utilized on limited-duration applications.
Do Z-Perform 1000D labels need ink or ribbon?
No ribbon - they are direct-thermal, so the printer head warms the label to create the image. This makes them easier and cheaper to use (there is no ribbon stock to purchase).
Are these labels waterproof / weatherproof / good for outdoor use?
Z-Perform 1000D is poorly resistant to moisture, abrasion, sunlight, etc., so it should be used indoors or only temporarily. When it should be used in the outside, rainy, or dusty environment, use a synthetic/film label instead
Can I use Z-Perform 1000D for food or medical labels? (Is it food-safe?)
The adhesive of most Z-Perform 1000D stocks conforms to FDA 175.105 for direct contact with dry foodstuffs (when separated by a functional barrier). That would allow it to be used in some food applications - never just guess at the part number/spec of your application.

How should I store them and how long will prints last?
Store rolls in a reasonably cool and dry location (uniformly recommended: approximately 20-22 deg C 68-72 deg F and, as a percentage of humidity, 40-50). Storage/optimal and service temperatures One spec type lists service temperature and storage advice, depending on the sheet, but typical values are -40°F to 140°F (-40°C to 60°C) service and 40°C storage. Images can be printed and remain readable for years as long as they have proper formation and are stored and manipulated, but conditions in the real world (sun, heat, abrasion) reduce their lifetime.
